12月1日，文化和旅游部部长胡和平会见意大利驻华大使方澜意，双方就进一步深化两国文化和旅游交流与合作、共同举办2022年中意文化和旅游年等议题交换意见。

On December 1, Hu Heping, Minister of culture and tourism, met with Italian ambassador to China Fang Lanyi. The two sides exchanged views on further deepening cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation between the two countries and jointly holding the 2022 year of Sino Italian culture and tourism.

胡和平表示，中国和意大利是东西方文明的杰出代表，都曾为人类社会发展进步作出过重要贡献。自1970年建交以来，中意两国始终坚持互尊互信，双边关系保持良好发展态势。2019年3月，习近平主席访问意大利期间，两国签署共建“一带一路”等一系列合作文件，中意各领域友好关系发展迈上新台阶。文化和旅游交流与合作一直是中意关系中积极活跃的组成部分，近年来在双方持续努力下形成了成熟稳定、紧密务实、互利共赢的合作格局。

Hu Heping said that China and Italy are outstanding representatives of eastern and Western civilizations and have made important contributions to the development and progress of human society. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1970, China and Italy have always adhered to mutual respect and mutual trust, and bilateral relations have maintained a good momentum of development. In March 2019, one belt, one road, and other series of cooperation documents signed by President Xi Jinping during his visit to Italy. Cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation have always been an active part of Sino Italian relations. In recent years, with the continuous efforts of both sides, a mature, stable, close and pragmatic cooperation pattern with mutual benefit and win-win results has been formed.

中意两国在文化遗产、文化艺术、文化和旅游产业等领域取得丰硕的合作成果，成为东西方文明交流互鉴的典范。2020年适逢中意建交50周年，两国携手举办文化庆祝活动，赞颂中意人民友谊，取得积极社会反响。中共十九届五中全会提出要实行高水平对外开放、开拓合作共赢新局面，要加强对外文化交流和多层次文明对话，这将为中意两国的合作带来更加广阔的前景。中方愿与意方共同努力，建设好中意文化合作机制平台，举办好2022年中意文化和旅游年，推动中意文化关系向更高水平、更深层次发展。

China and Italy have achieved fruitful results of cooperation in the fields of cultural heritage, culture and art, culture and tourism industry, which has become a model for the exchange and mutual learning between eastern and Western civilizations. The year 2020 coincides with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Italy. The two countries jointly hold cultural celebrations to praise the friendship between the Chinese and Italian people and achieve positive social repercussions. The Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) proposed to open up to the outside world at a high level, open up a new situation of win-win cooperation, and strengthen cultural exchanges and multi-level dialogue among civilizations, which will bring broader prospects for the cooperation between China and Italy. China is willing to work with Italy to build a good platform for Sino Italian cultural cooperation mechanism, hold the 2022 Sino Italian cultural and tourism year, and promote the development of Sino Italian cultural relations to a higher level and deeper level.

方澜意表示，意中长期保持文明交流，意方高度重视两国文化合作。2021年意大利将担任二十国集团轮值主席国，希望能搭建合作平台，凝聚中西方推动世界发展的积极力量。北京2022年冬奥会后，2026年冬奥会将在意大利米兰和科尔蒂纳举办，意中文化和旅游交流合作正迎来重要机遇。意方愿同中方密切沟通，持续深化双方在文化和旅游领域的互利合作。

Fang Lanyi said that Italy has maintained long-term civilized exchanges and attaches great importance to cultural cooperation between the two countries. Italy will assume the rotating presidency of the G20 in 2021, hoping to build a platform for cooperation and pool the positive forces of China and the west to promote world development. After the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing and the 2026 Winter Olympic Games will be held in Milan and Cortina, Italy. Italy China cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation are ushering in important opportunities. Italy is willing to maintain close communication with China and continuously deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of culture and tourism.
