1969年7月17日出生于日本大阪府大阪市，少年的时候因为想成为海贼，进入商船高专就读，但在学校里发现无法成为海贼，于是休学。后来在”彻子の部屋”演出时曾说，当时想既然无法成为海贼，至少可以演出海贼，因此立志成为演员。
