通知部署了2021年全民阅读重点工作：着力培根铸魂，深入推进习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想读物的学习阅读，推动习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想深入人心。突出主题主线，紧紧围绕庆祝建党100周年，充分结合党史学习教育，抓实、做好主题阅读工作，组织党员干部精读细读重点权威党史出版物，在广大群众中深入做好党史、新中国史、改革开放史、社会主义发展史等重点出版物阅读推广。深入基层群众，加强优质出版内容供给，优化基层阅读资源配置，改善公共场所阅读条件，更好满足人民阅读新期待。加大服务力度，倡导家庭阅读、亲子阅读，重视保障农村留守儿童、城市务工人员随迁子女等群体的基本阅读需求，加强面向残障人士、务工人员等群体的阅读服务，有针对性地做好重点和特殊人群的阅读工作。立足本地特色，挖掘区域资源，打造和巩固符合本地需求的品牌阅读活动，提升地区品牌阅读活动的群众参与度、辐射面和号召力。创新方法手段，主动适应信息技术条件下数字阅读方式更便捷、更广泛的特点，积极推动全民阅读工作与新媒体技术紧密结合。扩大宣传效果，加大对全民阅读的宣传报道力度，推动全社会形成爱读书、读好书、善读书的新风尚。
