在中华人民共和国成立七十一周年之际，由辽宁省营口市公共文化服务中心举办的“迎国庆，颂英雄”评书巡演活动，在营口职业技术学院隆重举行。营口市公共文化服务中心的党员、干部及营口职业技术学院的师生们共同观看了演出。

启动仪式上，营口市的优秀评书和曲艺演员分别表演了评书《孤胆英雄》、《气壮山河》、《江姐上船》和快板《唱雷锋》等节目，除《江姐上船》是中国评书大师袁阔成先生在六十年代创作的评书外，都是新创作的红色评书和快板。

不忘初心、继续前进，是新时代的我们对英雄的最好纪念。启动仪式后，营口市公共文化服务中心将组织曲艺小分队分别到辽宁省营口市和河北省张家口市的怀来县组织巡演20场左右，弘扬和传播英雄精神，把非凡英雄精神体现在平凡工作岗位上，努力把每一项平凡的工作做出不平凡。
