夏硕，号子然，一九六三年生于南京。自幼喜爱书法与绘画，二十世纪九十年代开始中国画和书法创作。作品多次入选全国书画展览并获奖，艺术典籍入编多部画集和图书。国家高级美术指导师，江苏省徐悲鸿研究会会员，大风堂中国画学研究会会员，南京市美术家协会会员。
Xia Shuo, Hao Ziran, was born in Nanjing in 1963. One of the 20 families in xinjinling. He loved calligraphy and painting since childhood. He began to create Chinese painting and calligraphy in the 1990s. His works have been selected into national calligraphy and painting exhibitions and won awards for many times, and art classics have been compiled into many painting collections and books. Xia Shuo is now Secretary General of Chinese artists database, national senior art instructor, member of Jiangsu Xu Beihong Research Association, member of dafengtang Chinese Painting Research Association and member of Nanjing Artists Association.

夏硕40多年的文人生涯，他用心探索中国画的笔墨语言，前有古人仇英，唐寅，文徵明，沈周，龚贤，近有张大千，黄宾虹，傅抱石等名家大师理论与技法，金陵画派与新金陵画派的流派风格碰撞，融为一体。
Xia Shuo has been a literati for more than 40 years. He has carefully explored the pen and ink language of Chinese painting. 夏硕在山水画领域的成功与清华美院高研班的进修是密切相关的，他在大风堂中国画学研究会导师的指点下学习北方山水的苍茫与豪迈，学习江南山水的清秀与雅丽。最重要的是夏硕对于山水绘画的执着与专研，他将南派风格与北派风格的创作融通与笔墨结合，成就了他在山水画坛的重要地位。
