澳大利亚奥委会表示，预计将有大约50位运动员参加平昌冬奥会，目前澳大利亚冬奥会代表团已确认7名运动员参赛，他们分别参加速滑、短道速滑和花样滑冰比赛。

平昌冬奥会是格雷格第二次参加冬奥会，他将参加速滑500米和1000米比赛。2014年索契冬奥会格雷格500米速滑排名第22位，1000米速滑排名第39位。索契冬奥会之后格雷格受到伤病困扰，做过两次膝盖手术。此后格雷格克服伤病恢复训练，最终获得奥运会入场券。
