He received that title of People’s Artist of China (中国人民艺术家)[1] with recognition as a Chinese painting art master (中国画艺术大师) acting as an outstanding representative of Chinese painting (中国画艺术杰出代表人物) and Lingnan school of painting (岭南画派杰出代表人物). He is a third generation representative of Lingnan school of painting (第三代岭南画派杰出代表人物). Hai Sheng Wang studied art in Canton, China from Professor Li Xiongcai who is the best known great masters of the Lingnan School of Landscape Painting.[2] Hai Sheng Wang is a National member of Canadian Artists' Representation/Le front des artistes canadiens (CARFAC), a federal non-profit corporation that is the national voice of Canada's professional visual artists. He was the Former Provincial Liaison of CARFAC Alberta (前加拿大国家文联省联络大使), Former Provincial Representative of CARFAC Alberta (前加拿大国家文联省代表), and was the instructor of the first Continuing Education Chinese Painting Course in Foothills, Alberta. He is currently a member the academic committee of China's National Artist Representation (学术委员).[3] Mr. Wang is an honorary invited adviser of China Report's Chinese Influence (中国报道中国影响力特邀名誉顾问). [4] He is classified as a first class national level qualification Chinese artist (中国国家一级美术师) according to the Audit Committee of Chinese Artist Qualification and Works' Price Criterion.[5]

Hai Sheng Wang’s art work is not a simple depiction of scenery and portraits but also exemplifies the person's intangible mind, spirit and conscious.[6] He uses the language of traditional Chinese art in a creative breakthrough to develop a new concept and theme. The work of Chinese art master, Hai Sheng Wang, is highly representative. On the foundation of Chinese traditional painting art he develops a unique personal style in an innovative breakthrough. Hai Sheng Wang is not a simple static guardian of traditional Chinese painting art, nor a traditional rebel in art, but he is a genius in the expansion and development of the frontiers of traditional Chinese painting.[7] He has made outstanding contributions in the development of the field of traditional Chinese painting art and is respected as a Chinese painting art master.[8]
